Plain weave is the most basic type of weave, as old as humanity itself. It is a so-called “balanced” weave, meaning the number of warp and weft interlacings is in a 1:1 ratio. This gives plain weave fabric the same appearance on both the front and back sides.
This linen, two meters wide, should be pre-washed at 60°C before use. The linen will shrink slightly, become denser, and soften.
